Critical Eyewitness account (English) (Sept 2, 2011)

Thierry Meyssan is ook veilig uit Tripoli weggekomen. Hij heeft een radio-interview gegeven aan een Iraans station. Als u geen Frans verstaat, dan kunt het geluid beter uitzetten en alleen de ondertiteling lezen. Schokkend!

Monday, August 29, 2011, 16h GMT – Voltaire Network journalists arrived at the port of Valletta, Malta, Monday, August 29, 2011. Thierry Meyssan, Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya, Mathieu and Julien Teil Ozanon are safe. British journalist Lizzie Phelan Press TV, also in danger, was with them, and the team of Telesur. Walter E. Fauntroy, former congressman of the United States and former assistant to Martin Luther King, had also survived.

The boat that allowed them to leave Libya is a small craft planned for 12 people. She eventually accepted 52 refugees in addition to the crew. It took 36 hours to reach Malta in rough seas.

Before departure, the passenger list was the subject of intense negotiations and validated by the various authorities who now control Tripoli. Until the last moment, the journalists of the Voltaire Network and friends feared not being able to embark. At the last moment, one person, we do not know the name, was arrested by the rebels on the boat.

52 people were able to escape and save their lives. They have left behind many friends.

On arrival in Malta, Thierry Meyssan thanked all those who gave their support: “Thank you all. Your engagement was great. We owe our lives. ”
